Mark your calendar for Downtown Lights Up now. It’s all going down from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. Of course, it will all be here in Downtown Goldsboro, right in the center of town. Oh, and don’t worry about buying a ticket, as it’s completely free to attend. The lights flip on at 5:30 p.m., so make sure you’re there before that time! You really don’t want to miss the big show.
What to Do
Sure, you know you’re going to see the lights come on, but you’re probably wondering what else is going to be going on at this event. Well, there will be lots to do for the entire family. If you have kids, get ready for a ton of pictures, as Santa Claus and other fun characters are going to be there to meet them. They’re going to make for some amazing photo ops.
In addition, you should make sure you stop by the activity stations, where your little ones can make holiday-themed crafts. They’re going to have a blast, and you’re going to love displaying their crafts when you get home.
Feel like getting on the ice? Then try ice skating at the event. It’s $5 per skater, and everyone is welcome to try it out. Of course, you don’t have to get on the ice to enjoy some of the frozen stuff. That’s right – there will even be snow!

Take a Trolley Ride
If you want to see the downtown area in a whole new way, you’re definitely going to want to take advantage of the free trolley rides during this event. They’ll run from 5:30 to 8 p.m., so be sure to line up in time to take a ride.
